FAQStuf

1.What does KidStuf look like?

It’s an experience that includes worship music, hosts that interact with kids and parents, drama, a story, and some kicking media. Parents are encouraged to sing along with the KidStuf Singers and the kids, but just like in the main services it’s completely optional.

2.Why “Where kids take their parents to learn”?

Our desire is to partner with parents to help raise their children in faith and character. We believe parents should be the primary spiritual leaders of their kids. We want to help parents thrive in that role. By having kids and parents learning the same thing in the same place, it acts as a platform for parents to have meaningful conversations with their kids. Rather than design an environment for parents, and have them take their kids to it, we believe it’s best to design an environment for kids and have them take their parents to it. KidStuf is designed to be relevant and engaging for kids and parents.

3.What exactly is the drama?

KidStuf is designed around the KidStuf Clubhouse, where 8 characters make their home. These characters will comically learn how to live out the virtue each month. Click the KaracterStuf link on the left to read more about them.

4.What’s the virtue?

KidStuf and Discovery Island are designed around monthly virtues for kids to learn. Virtues include honesty, discipline, hope, love, service, etc and there are specific definitions to each virtue. There are 36 virtues in all (repeating on a 3-year cycle).

5.What will seating be like?

Families are invited to sit together on the carpets. Some chairs are available for anyone who would like to use them.

6.How many people does it take to run KidStuf each month?

It takes over 30 volunteers to run KidStuf each month. Email if you are interested in helping out.
