Here at CCC we realize starting middle school or moving into your freshman year can be kind of intimidating all on its own, and we don’t want the idea of entering into a new part of the student ministry to add to the confusion. That’s why we offer The 6th Grade Blitz and Freshman Frenzy. When it comes down to it, these two events are really just huge parties to celebrate starting out a new part of your journey as a student and to get to know your new leaders. We want students and parents to have an opportunity to get a taste for what student ministry is all about and to meet other students and parents who are in the same place as they are. I am very excited for a new school year to kick off, and I hope you are to. You can sign up for The 6th Grade Blitz or Freshman Frenzy in the lobby at CCC.

Seeing as how there aren’t many places where I can do that without getting injured or in trouble, I often find myself at an amusement park. On Friday, August 27 both middle school and high school students from CCC have the opportunity to get whipped around on 11 different roller coasters and cool off on 9 different water rides. Tickets cost $30, that’s over $20 off regular admission rates, and covers entrance to the park and transportation. Students will meet at CCC at 10AM and return at 7PM. Make sure you sign up in the lobby at CCC, because there is only a limited number of tickets at this price.

Dive in is a one time event (not a series of classes) developed to give parents the tools necessary to have a meaningful dialogue with their kids about how to begin their spiritual journey. Dive In will be Sunday, March 28, in room 108. You can sign up in the lobby at CCC or email Nick Blevins if you have any questions.
