Haiti – July 20-31, 2009
Northwest Haiti Christian Mission has been helping those who live in the northwest area of Haiti since 1979. The NHCM has developed several campuses with a church, school, medical facility, orphanage, home for the elderly, and a home for special needs children. Haiti is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere and there is severe physical suffering and hopelessness among its people. In 2008 a team from CCC went to Haiti to help provide programs for the children, comfort hurting people, and dig a trench for a sewage tank. In 2009 we worked with the children and assisted in a community needs assessment as a part of a community development project.
